Koh Samui Island Highlights

Visiting: Big Buddha Temple, Hin Ta and Hin Yai, Na Muang Waterfall, Chaweng and Lamai beaches, Samui Monkey Theater

Duration: 5 hours

Explore some of Koh Samui’s most impressive highlights on this exciting day trip that follows the island’s main ring road. Not only will you visit the famed Big Buddha Temple and rock formations of Hin Ta and Hin Yai, but also take in panoramic scenic viewpoints and the beauty of Na Muang Waterfall.

Your guide will pick you up from your port of call before heading to the beautiful beaches of Chaweng and Lamai. These are two of the most popular beaches on Koh Samui, with that quintessential tropical paradise feel about them. You will then travel to the iconic rock formations of Hin Ta and Hin Yai (which translate as “grandpa” and “grandma”). Take in the scenic coastal views and discover the local legend that tells of their formation.

We will then continue on to Na Muang Waterfall, set within lush jungle surrounds, where a short walk takes you up to the base of the falls. Make sure you bring good walking shoes as the trail can be slippery after the rains!

From natural wonders to cultural landmarks, we will then visit the Big Buddha Temple, which sits on a small rocky island off the coast of Koh Samui. Here you can witness Buddhist devotees as they pay their respects to the immense Buddha statue and make offerings of fruit, flowers and incense.

For something a little different, we will also visit the Samui Monkey Theater where you can see highly skilled monkeys harvesting coconuts. The island has long been a centre for coconut cultivation, with their primate workers some of the most efficient!

Your Koh Samui Island Highlights tour ends with a shopping expedition in Nathon Town where you will have the opportunity to pick up some unique Samui souvenirs to forever remember your time on this paradisiacal island!

Lunch is not included in the cost of the tour, but we will suggest options for local Thai restaurants and provide ample time for you to have a sit-down lunch.

Casual attire is suitable for this tour, but remember to bring something to cover your shoulders and knees if you want to enter the Buddhist temple
