A shore excursion that shouldn't be missed, Pamukkale (UNESCO world heritage site), is one of the most important highlights in Turkey. Not only spectacular sight of Pamukkale, a unique natural wonder with dazzling white petrified lime cascades, you will also visit the ancient city of Hierapolis and explore its theater, Necropolis and the largest ancient cemetery in Anatolia. Pamukkale and Hierapolis rank among one the oldest thermal cities of the world. The thermal water of Pamukkale offers beauty and health to people since ancient times.
Meet your guide at Antalya port, board your comfortable minivan and head to Pamukkale, a world heritage site. Pamukkale shares its World Heritage status with Hierapolis. You will begin your walking tour after the drop off at Hierapolis where the thermally heated Antique Pool located and you can swim among the remains of ancient Roman columns, toppled into the water by various earthquakes. This Antique pool is also known as Cleopatra's bath. Among the Roman ruins at Hierapolis are the remains of the Temple of Apollo, the Gate of Domitian, the tomb of Flavius Zeuxis, Necropolis, the Plutonium, and the well- preserved theater constructed around 200BC.
After Hierapolis, we continue to Pamukkale or "Cotton Castle" in Turkey, located above the theatre of Hierapolis. Pamukkale is the result of limestone formations built over thousands of years. The marvelous landscape of Pamukkale has been created by this gradual formation, leaving a cotton-like image. Hot water raising from underground four springs start our the temperature of 35 Celsius and is saturated with calcium salt and carbon dioxide. As the water cools, these salts precipitate and form the white travertine layers. The water is famous for its benefits to the skin and it is believed to cure the ills of asthma and rheumatism as well. Don't forget to bring your swimming suit and try the dip yourself in one of thermal water pools there. After the tour, we will drive back to Fethiye and drop you off at the port or hotel.

Dress
This tour requires a bit of walking and we suggest you wear comfortable shoes. As it can be very hot in summer months, please bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hats and any other necessary sun gear with you.
